This is LONG overdue. I wrote this over the summer, and it's been in my drafts. Mainly because I didn't know how to finish it. So basically, it's incomplete...but whatever.
Your text more or less saved me from myself on Sunday night. I couldn't be more grateful. It's great to know that I have someone here for me, but what's a bit heart wrenching is the fact that I had to drive two hours to reach you. Not to mention it was 10pm on a Sunday in the bumblefuck town of Milledgeville.
My drive was both liberating and frightening. Have you ever witnessed how scary it is to look in your rear view mirror and see absolutely nothing? Driving on a 40 mile road with a sparse supply of street signs can make you re-evaluate a lot. The irony in my drive was absolutely mind blowing. It was as though I was truly leaving nothing behind on Sunday night. I looked back, and saw nothing but darkness. That should say something, and ever since Monday when I returned I feel as though I returned to nothing; for nothing. The only reason I came back was to finish my stupid class in this stupid college that I don't even belong in.
I envy those that have constant nightmares, or better yet, don't dream at all. How enthralling would it be to just wake up every morning and live your life? Dreams fuck with sentiments more than anything. I just consider them to be underlying emotions that hold absolutely no truth. I feel as though most people can agree with me on that aspect. I mean, sure, there could be some psychological meaning behind your dreams; however, we wake up every morning knowing that what we witnessed was absolute myth created by the unexplainable yet phenomenal power of our unconscious thought. I don't understand why we allow ourselves to enter the world of dream, and further continue our lives as though our brains had just created inevitable truth. If you really want to make these dreams come true, I say wake up and live them (for any dream that may be physically attainable, that is). Why dwell on what truly masochistic thoughts and images your brain creates while in the hopeless state of sleep? There's nothing to be found from these impossible realities.
